About LCHSA

The Laurens County Handicap Sportsman Association was started in April 2009, by several individuals that wanted to provide the handicap hunters with an opportunity to hunt, fish, and fellowship.

We are a non-profit organization that host a deer/hog hunt every year and provide the land, food plots, blinds and stands, meals, drinks, snacks, game retrieval, cleaning, and hunter assistance if needed. Our land is sponsored by local land owners that let us maintain the food plots and let our hunters be the first to hunt for the year.

For the past 9 years, we have assisted with a hunt sponsored by Buckmasters so we have a lot of experience in the field. Our association consist of all volunteers and we are blessed to have so many and some of the best. Our primary fundraiser is a wild game supper and a $5000.00 draw down that we hold every year and we use this money to fund all our projects and with the rising cost of fertilizer, seeds and fuel, it takes all that we make.

We hope that you enjoy our website and find it useful and we all look forward to meeting you.

We would like to say THANK YOU to all of our land owners and volunteers that were involved in helping make the 2009 Handicap Hunt such a success. This hunt could not have happened without the help and dedication of everyone of you. We would also like to say THANK YOU to all of our sponsors also. We hope everyone will be on board this year to make it another great hunt.
We had two hunter's get their first deer. Those hunters were, Angela Furlong from Ga., and  Mark Buckweitz of Fl. We hope to have those two back with us this year as well as everyone esle. The hunt is scheduled for November 5-7 this year and applications will be mailed out end of June or the first of July, remember this is a first come first served basis, so get these back to us as soon as you can, to be put on the list.
